Scientology ( 20th Century New Religious Movement ) Rest In Peace : "It isn't Gonna Be That Way."
"But everything burned and fell from my hand
I had to turn back or build a new plan.
Because it isn't going to be that way.
Hey it isn't gonna be that way.
You'll just have to live and see what you find.
Yes, and take it from there, and follow the signs.
You think you can live and dream your own fate.
You think you can wish and walk through the gate.
Well, it isn't gonna be that way.
No, it isn't gonna be that way."

Re: Human Energy Systems and Kundalini Yoga, not Scientology
Re Unsub:
" not as good as Scientology in My humble opinion."
Scientology is not yoga. The above are serious texts on yoga.
No competition!

( Re Scientology post on my Human Energy Systems thread ) Scientology now comprehensively investigated. Isn't Gonna Be That Way.
To follow up on Scientology,
Scientology has now been comprehensively investigated. Some would say exposed.
It is completely false to say that Scientology derives from Buddhism.
The Scientology teachers and texts do not build upon Buddhist refuge, nor the Dhammapada, nor the Buddhist Ten Precepts.
I have seen two of their earlier big teaching manuals in a used book store. Not Buddhist.
There is no known direct connection between L. Ron Hubbard and any Buddhist teacher, Theravadin or other.
L. Ron Hubbard did not and could not represent any Buddhist teaching lineage.
The Buddhist community is in no way responsible for any problems associated with Scientology, and there are many deep concerns and difficult incidents associated with Scientology.
It is reasonable to expect that these major exposures in several recent books lead directly to a loss of new potential members for Scientology.
I do not see any way forward for the Scientology organization.
I expect the game is really and finally up for Scientology in this decade.
And if people want a real Buddhist teaching, this is easily obtained.
A vast amount of Buddhist teaching has already become available, including all my work on Tribe.net.
As a Buddhist teacher who has looked into the history and cultural descriptions of Scientology in practice, my assessment is that Scientology is in key respects the opposite of Buddhadharma.
Hense the following "farewell song".

It is important to establish a clear, well-grounded, responsible basis for communication on this topic.
Two large groups, "Scientology" and the worldwide Buddhist community, are involved, and this is posted for broad global consumption.
In this I formally represent the Buddhist community as a Buddhist teacher, with no malice against Scientology.
Here is the Buddhist side of the communication.
Start with the early classical public teaching of the Buddha Sakyamuni, which is easily found and understood, and work from there.
Here are some core Buddhist references which are directly relevant:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhammapada
and
http://www.buddhanet.net/pdf_file/scrndhamma.pdf
and
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism
Scientology is NOT a branch of the Buddhist teaching.
It does NOT in any way build on Buddhist principles, such as the Four Noble Truths or the Noble Eightfold Path, or basic Buddhist refuge.
That is the clear proof of my statement that Scientology is NOT Buddhism in any way, shape or form.

"Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief"
by Lawrence Wright (Author) Lawrence Wright (Author)
“A fearless, compelling, exhaustive work of muckraking journalism and a masterpiece of storytelling. . . . A ripping yarn about ego, money, abuse, faith, and the corrupting nature of power when wielded by the wrong people. It’s as lurid, pulpy, and preposterous-seeming as anything Hubbard or Haggis ever wrote, but it’s much better, because it has the benefit of being true.” —The A.V. Club
“Invaluable. . . . Completely and conclusively damning.” —Salon
“Who’d have thought a history of religion would offer so many guilty pleasures? Lawrence Wright’s enthralling account of Scientology’s rise brims with celebrity scandal. To anyone who gets a sugar rush from Hollywood gossip, the chapters on Tom Cruise and John Travolta will feel like eating a case of Ding Dongs.” —Los Angeles Times
“Admirably judicious and thoroughly researched. . . . Being Clear is an inducement to darkness and disarray. You may laugh at it at first, but get ready to weep.” —The Guardian (London)
“Not only a titillating exposé on the reported ‘you’re kidding me’ aspects of the religion, but a powerful examination of belief itself.” —Entertainment Weekly
“A fascinating read, and a chilling one. . . . The power in Wright’s book lies as much in his meticulous investigative reporting as in his evenhanded approach.” —Minneapolis Star-Tribune
